After a long week, Fridays are often about keeping things close to home. At least, that’s KING-FM’s approach with Northwest Focus Live, the Seattle classical station’s weekly live performance and interview program that focuses on local and regional musicians.
Every Friday night, host Sean MacLean gives listeners a chance to experience the energy of a live performance, while simulatenously allowing local classical music artists the opportunity to share their music and talent. Launched in 2011 not long after KING-FM became a non-commercial station, the show has attracted a devoted following.
Last Friday, renowned Seattle pianist Craig Sheppard stopped by the studios for a very special Public Radio Music Month edition of NW Focus Live, and this station snapped a photo with him showing his support for public radio!
Update at 8:30 a.m. ET April 16: The full show is now available for online streaming.
